Preparation workshops for Water Birth
There are many benefits to using water in labour and birth. Warm
water induces a state of relaxation and stimulates the production of
endorphins (nature's own pain killers), this will stimulate your contractions and shorten
your labour. The labouring mother can adopt comfortable positions easily, because of the buoyancy of the water. The
counter pressure of the water allows a more gentle delivery into the world.
The Active Health Center offers the only water birth pool rental
service in Amsterdam, and delivery service throughout the Netherlands.
Water birth demostration workshops are held frequently to explore this
gentle yet power birth choice. The Active Health Center is
devoted to natural childbirth preparation and offers a range of
activities in this field.
